Well, there you have it.
It's been a year, to say the least.
Coming off of the tailend of last year was a difficult thing- I mean, how are you supposed to beat the success of our debut album? As they say, lightning doesn't strike the same place twice.
The answer? You really can't.
We dropped our third studio album Memories In Black And White back in June, and it's been a huge success, racking up literally hundreds of plays. We couldn't have been happier to see our first proper, in-depth project become as popular as it did, and to see fans comparing the 16 tracks to some of our earlier, badly produced work was pretty cool to see. And whilst it didn't reach the popularity of our earlier works, in its own right this album has been a blast to see through.
There's so much I could talk about, but I'd be here forever. Instead, all I have to say is that this year has been even better than 2021, and that's saying something. Sure, our audience wasn't as huge, but the music has been so much more creative and in-depth and we've had so much fun actually crafting our proper professional sound. Tracks like "Empathy", which we worked on for over a year prior to release, really showcase our sound and production techniques, whilst soft ballads like "She Runs With Wolves" have become incredibly popular. Even our returning Christmas EP (which was so tough to write) shines with brilliant quality and themes. We just can't thank people enough for staying along for the ride. It means more than we could ever say.
Anyway, now it's time to move onto the best bits section- yeah, the top 10 tracks of the year. These songs have been the most popular on Audiomack (we never tend to count Audiomack and Soundcloud together because Soundcloud plays tend to be a lot less frequent during the year).

As always we have a special announcement at the end of each year to get our fans ready for the year ahead. Normally it's just album news, but this year it's slightly different, because we will not be releasing an album in 2023 (shock horror). Instead, we're going to be dropping a few singles here and there, but nothing too flashy, because the main news is (fingers crossed, fingers crossed) that we're hoping to set up a Spotify account next year. Yes, we've decided enough is enough with using just Audiomack and Soundcloud, and now we want to try tackling the industry giant that is Spotify. This isn't to say we're going to ditch all our old fans on both streaming sites, because we will still be posting there, but let's just base of operations will hopefully be moving to this new, payable hub soon. We'll have more news to follow if an when this happens, so keep an eye on this space.
Next year also brings about the big 5-oh, yep, five years of The Echo! Scary to believe that's coming up, but it is. As always, to celebrate our birthday we drop a single close to or on the date, and this year is no exception- our new single "no consequences" will (hopefully) come out on the 27th January. It's a mega collab between us, TES and one of the best rising artists in the UK, Admech Squid. You do not want to miss this tune, it's going to be epic, so remember the date!!! We've also got a couple of sneak covers and Christmas Stories- Vol. 3 to round off 2023, so it won't be entirely boring.
